Demco are benefactors of the South African Children’s Fund, a Section 21 non profit company incorporated under Section 21 of the South African Companies Act no, 2001-018020/8 and certificate of Registration of Non Profit Organization no: 025-881-NPO.

Demco’s support of the fund covers a wide range of developments that endeavour to make communities and citizens involved in sustainable projects. The aid not only comes in the form of a food parcel or clothes, but will entail fixing up and maintaining dirt roads as an ongoing basis. Helping with plowing and planting, irrigation, soil analyses, provision of breeding stock and seed and training in animal husbandry. Benefication of agricultural products, provision of housing, clinics, classrooms and other efforts that will lead to the alleviation of poverty and make communities self sufficient based on their efforts as well.

Donor funding is spent in a manner that can be readily and easily verified, showing the results in a tangible manner.

Demco places an emphasis on access to markets for community goods and services, ability to reach towns and cities thus having access to markets and schooling facilities, etc. Damage and destruction of National Transport fleets, which developing countries can ill afford, is greatly reduced by upgrading roads. Death and injury and trauma to communities is also reduced by reducing the number of road accidents on poor roads.

Demco supports wholeheartedly the vision of seeing that no woman and child goes to bed without shelter, afraid, hungry, uneducated and unwashed.
